Superior Storage Tank Coatings
- Powdered coating is applied in a controlled environment within the factory.
- All coatings are applied over an SSPC-SP 10 near white blast and thermally cured (Oven Baked). All ASTM coatings are applied in a factory controlled environment and blast is achieved using steel grit.
- All Factory applied coatings eliminate weather delays and possible environmental problems.
- If coatings are applied to welded vessels in the field improper environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, can delay the project or the coatings will fail.
- Flash oxidation will occur in field-applied coatings if they are applied too quickly.
Advantages of Powder Coatings:
- Powder-coated tank’s panel edges as well as bolt holes are thoroughly powder coated which prevents any steel exposure.
- Powder-coated tank’s complete manway assembly and base angle are epoxy coated the same as panels which provides a uniform finish as well as superior protection. The coating adheres fully to the entire panel (including edges) so shipment is not a problem and panels arrive at the jobsite in perfect condition.
- Tested to withstand at least 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Powder-coated panel can be repaired in the field with similar type coatings.
Enduro Coat Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating is a one-part, heat curable, thermosetting epoxy coating designed for corrosion protection storage vessels. The epoxy is applied to preheated steel as a dry powder which melts and cures to a uniform coating thickness. This bonding process provides excellent adhesion and coverage on pipe, panels, angle iron and associated fittings. Enduro Coat is resistant to corrosive soils, hydrocarbons, harsh chemicals, and sea water.
