Helpful frac sand plant information
Frac sand, which is used to enhance recoveries in the oil and gas industry to improve production from oil and gas wells, frequently uses pressure to fracture the rock formations to allow better flow of the hydrocarbons to the wellbore. Frac sand is sand that is pumped into the well during the fracturing operation. Since the sand is carried along with the fluid into the fracture, it will remain in the fracture when the pressure is removed, keeping the fracture propped open and allowing a good means by which the hydrocarbons can flow to the wellbore.
Frac Sand Tanks are ideal for contaminate free frac sand storage, with 45° cones for convenient and free flowing discharge. Manufactured with industrial gauge steel, Frac Sand Tanks are designed to withstand the significant weight of loading and unloading. With such features as butterfly discharge packages, fill tubes designed for convenient loading and foundations strong enough to support the silo weight.
A Frac Sand Plant may consist of a single tank or a dual tank. USA Tank Storage Systems dry bulk storage silos are specified for frac sand, barite, lime and dry chemical needs. Small, hopper bottom silos are available, as well as larger skirted silos.
