Factory Welded Storage Tanks

Quick Construction: Welded silos can be installed quickly. Factory-welded silos are shipped on special unloading trailers, so that the installation proceeds simply, usually with a single crane.

Highest Standards: We use suppliers, with more than 100 years of expertise in delivering superior tank performance. Our tanks and silos are constructed of sidewall panels that are precision cut, formed and then factory coated for superior protection against abrasion and corrosion while retaining high gloss and color retention--all of which translates into maximum durability, with low maintenance. The smooth-wall tank interior promotes flow and reduces contamination.

Manufacturing and Delivery: We fabricate our bolted and welded silos in dedicated facilities. The raw metal sheets of carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel come in one door and all operations are completed in the same building. Our plants are fully equipped with state-of-the-art metal forming technologies. All facilities are ISO 9001 quality system certified.

Welding procedures for our welded silos are qualified to ASME Section IX. All welders are ASME or AWS certified for structural welding. Shell seams are full penetration welded using sub-arc welding processes with copper backup. Other seams may be made with gas metal arc welding, flux-colored arc welding or submerged arc welding, as appropriate.

Standard welded tank diameters range from 8' to 14'and standard heights are 18' to 72'. Our welded silos are typically shipped as single piece units, ready to install upon arrival at the jobsite. However, when taller silos are desired, sections can be shipped for welding onsite. Skirted silos up to 12' in diameter and 80' long can be shipped on self unloading trailers for domestic deliveries.

Field Construction: Both bolted and welded silos can be installed quickly. Bolted components are containerized for international shipments, and field assembly is fast and simple. Our factory-welded silos are shipped on special unloading trailers, so that the installation proceeds simply, usually with a single crane.
